Candy Anyone??!!!

Hi guys! Here's my little monster ready to give you a treat.....If you dare take one, that is! (lol) My little boy complained, that all the Halloween projects I've made so far have been for girls!!! So I had to "man it up" a little, and make something that he would approve of.

This is my "Tasty Tuesday" project for my Pink Paislee blog post today. I also used Shimmerz paints to add a little sparkle to the chipboard letters, the bolts and the bat punch-out. You can see the full post here.

Pretty in Pink!

Hello, again! Thanks for stopping by today. Just wanted to share my Pink Project for the Shimmerz blog with you. It's actually one of the projects I did for Creative Cuts & More. (I'm guesting with them next month.) As I began working on the project I knew this little hippo had to be my Cancer Awareness project for this month. Hopefully, Terry won't mind that I shared this a little early.

I used one of the CC&M chipboard frames to create the little tutu.
I simply cut the frame in half, then covered both halves with patterned paper.


I then glued some tulle ribbon, to the back of one of the pieces.

As you can see in the last picture on the left, all the pieces were then glued together.

Because the hippo is free sanding, I wanted to give it some strength. To do this, I cut the hippo silhouette out of three layers of raw chipboard. After covering the hippo with patterned paper and embellishing, the finished piece was attached to a small wood base using a dowel and glue.

Think Pink!

Hi everyone! I tell ya my mind is slipping BIG time!!! I thought I had posted this already - But I guess not!!! (lol)
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Shimmerz is hosting a little contest to help spread the word and have a little fun!!! Here's the info that's posted on the Shimmerz blog.

It's October! That means it's National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. We wanted to show our support by showing our Pink!! For the whole month of October, we will be sharing Pink projects created by our Shimmerz Girlz! BUT, we want you to get involved also. We want you to create projects using ANY Pink Shimmerz that you have! Any shade of pink. Then, upload it to the Shimmerz Flickr Group! Make sure and tell us what Shimmerz product you have used! Each Design Team Member will choose their favorite project, and each winner will receive something Pink! We are excited to see what you come up! Stop by all month to see what the Design Team creates using Pink! Let's not just create, but inspire and spread the word. Post it on your blog, and let others know! Let your light Shimmer!

Have A Monsterrific Day!

October is finally here! I don't know about you, but I'm definitely ready for some cooler weather. It's been so hot here in Florida.

Maybe it's because Halloween's almost here, but I seem to have monsters on the brain lately. I made this card using a mixture of Pink Paislee papers, chipboard and other bits and pieces. It's not really intended to be a Halloween card, but I think it could be used as one, since there is a monster involved!!! :) You can see more details on how I used the Shimmerz paints here. Speaking of monsters my kids picked out my next Pink Paislee blog project, for this month. Stay tuned and I'll be sharing that soon. :)


Supplies used:
Pink Paislee - Patterned paper, glitter alphas, cardstock letters chipboard borders and chipboard shapes

Shimmerz Paints - Shimmerz Spritz (Licorice) and Shimmerz (Wed Wagon)

When my order of Shimmerz Spritz paints came last month. I loved them so much I took a picture of them.......... They just looked so yummy!!! It was kind of like getting a brand new box of crayons! Remember that feeling? :)

Anyways, when I got the invite to stay on as a design team member, I couldn't resist!!! The Shimmerz girlz are so sweet and I love working with the paints. So from now on, my projects will be a combination of Shimmerz and Pink Paislee.
